    • February 17th, 6:00 to 7:30pm
    • This session will introduce you to the BTECH GMRS Emergency radios we are using in South County.  Topics covered will include;
      • Understanding your Radio’s Capabilities
      • Navigating the Display
      • Understanding frequencies
      • Working with Channels
      • Communicating using your radio
      • Available accessories
      • FCC Licensing
  • Session 2 – Preparing for an emergency
    • February 24th, 6:00 to 7:30pm
    • This session will go into a deeper dive of the Communications efforts in South County and how to find trusted information during an emergency
      • Challenges Communicating in South County
      • Your South County Emergency Communication Options
      • Ways to enhance your communication capabilities
      • Radio Nets & Net Control
      • South County Ham Radio Efforts
  • Session 3 – Alternative Power Sources
    • March 24th, 6:00 to 7:30pm
    • This session will review alternate power sources available to you during an emergency
      • We will cover powering your communications devices
        • GMRS Emergency Radio
        • AM/FM Radio
        • Phone
      • Types of power sources that will be covered
        • Batteries
        • 12v Car Charging
        • Solar
        • Generators
